1996
SecuriGroupe, a financial services firm that distributes its product through a sale force of 80 captive agents, launches a new line of product in the travel insurance market. An instant success is created with the product FADOQ-Florida, exclusive to one of the largest associations in the country the FADOQ.
1999
Realizing that travel insurance requires an operational structure and a distribution system that are completely different from its basic operations. SecuriGroupe creates its sister company SecuriGlobe.
April 28th becomes the company's official creation date.
2000
SecuriGlobe decids to offer its different products through a new network: the property and casualty brokers. In less than 6 months, more than 150 brokers sign an agreement to become partners. The office is moved from St-Lambert to downtown Montreal.
2001
SecuriGlobe is one of the few brokers in Canada to obtain an MGA contract with RBC Insurance. At that moment, SecuriGlobe represents more than 6 insurers and is developing a unique expertise in travel insurance, focusing on retirees and the coming wave of boomers.
2004
Aquisition of a well know MGA in the travel insurance market. The firm was doing business in more than provinces. More than 2,000 direct clients and 320 brokers joined SecuriGlobe. This transaction was the beginning of our expansion in Ontario.
Following this acquisition, the office moves from Montreal to Brossard to allow the company to maintain its expansion.
SecuriGlobe also becomes the official partner for health and travel insurance programs for the Regroupement des Cabinets de Courtiers du Quebec (RCCAQ), a membership organization serving the interests of more than one thousand insurance brokers across Quebec.
2005
Acquisition of the travel operations of Pierre Daviau Insurance Inc.
SecuriGlobe also expands in a new niche market: special risk, which provides insurance for non standard risk in the health and travel insurance coverage.
2006
Acquisition of the travel division of Kronish Insurance Inc. This division was founded in the mid 1970's by Syd Kronish and is well known in the Jewish community. A new division, with more than 4,500 clients, is created under the name Kronish SecuriGlobe, which has an office in Montreal. Elaine and Marcy Kronish remain employees of this new division.
2007
Acquisition of Assurance Lachance et Boucher Inc., a broker specialized in the travel insurance industry.
Launch of a new exclusive product called Medica with Echelon insurance. This new travel insurance program is an instant success across Canada.
2008
Our clientele can now enjoy the benefits of a medical assistance located in Florida. Consequently, we become the only multi-insurer distributor specialized in travel insurance to offer the medical assistance of a health professional directly in Florida. This clearly attests to the importance we attach to the quality of services and care provided to our clients.
Launch of a new exclusive travel insurance concept with the MedGuard program insured by Cooperators, one of the largest insurers in Canada.
Renewal of the partnership between SecuriGlobe and the FADOQ/Mouvement des Aînés. FADOQ is one of the largest seniors associations across Canada with more than 250,000 members.
2009
SecuriGlobe becomes the proud travel insurance partner of Canadian Tire Financial Services. As the financial services arm of Canadian Tire Corporation, Ltd., Canadian Tire Financial Services (CTFS) is primarily engaged in marketing the Canadian Tire Options MasterCard portfolio to four million cardmembers.
Launch of a new exclusive travel insurance line of products with the MediGlobe program insured by Reliable Life.
Celebration of the 10th anniversary with multiple events in order to express our sincere recognition to our clients and partners.

THIA is the Travel Health Insurance Association of Canada. Its mandate is to develop and promote voluntary standards of business conduct, professional and public education, advancement of issues relevant to providers of travel health insurance operating in Canada and their affiliated organizations.
