If the traveler is a Canadian citizen, he or she must indicate the province (or territory) of which he or she is a permanent resident, and where he or she is covered by the provincial health insurance program of that same province.

This option does not apply to Canadian travelers.

The departure date must be the exact date that you are leaving your province of residence.

Number of days definition for Visitors plan

Effective date means the date and time coverage starts. Coverage could start on the latest of the following (please refer to the chosen Visitors to Canada policy for details):

a) the date and time the completed application and premium are accepted by the insurer or its representative; or
b) the effective date indicated on your confirmation of coverage; or
c) the date and time you exit your country of origin. Or upon your arrival in Canada
d) if you have already arrived in Canada, your policy may contain limitations on the effective date of coverage, please refer to your policy for more details.

Medical daily plan
May provide protection as a result of an emergency medical condition occurring between your effective date (or departure date) and the termination date (or return date). This policy will only cover you while you are out of your Province of residence if you incur eligible expenses for emergency hospital and emergency medical care or services during the policy period. This policy does not cover the value of your trip in case of cancellation or interruption. Other conditions and exclusions may apply according to the policy.

Medical Multi-trips
Is valid for a period of 365 days. For a single premium covering a full year, you can travel as many times as you wish and anywhere you want without having to call the insurer, provided that your trip duration does not exceed the maximum number of days chosen. Your multi trip annual plan may provide protection as a result of an emergency medical condition occurring between your effective date (or departure date) and the termination date (or return date). This policy will only cover you while you are out of your Province of residence if you incur eligible expenses for emergency hospital and emergency medical care or services during the policy period. This policy does not cover the value of your trip in case of cancellation or interruption. Other conditions and exclusions may apply according to the policy.

All Inclusive Package
All inclusive package may protect you as a result of an eligible medical condition occurring between your effective date (or departure date) and the termination date (or return date). This policy can could cover prior to departure, cancellation or while you are out of your Province of residence if you incur eligible expenses for emergency hospital and emergency medical care or services during the policy period. It may provide reimbursement if you cancel your covered trip before your departure date or interrupt your covered trip while you are traveling. In order for this insurance coverage to apply the cancellation or interruption of your covered trip must result from an unforeseen event occurring during your coverage period that prevents you from traveling. Other conditions and exclusions may apply according to the policy.

Cancellation/Interruption
This policy does not cover any expenses for emergency hospital and emergency medical care or service while you are out of your province of residence. This option may provide reimbursement if you cancel your covered trip before your departure date or interrupt your covered trip while you are traveling. In order for this insurance coverage to apply, the cancellation or interruption of your covered trip must result from an unforeseen event occurring during your coverage period that prevents you from traveling. Other conditions and exclusions may apply according to the policy.

A family must include one or two adults over 21 years of age, accompanied by at least one child under the age of 18. (If there are more than 4 children, contact us at 866 550-2444).

All family members requiring coverage under the policy must be declared on your confirmation of coverage, and must be under the age of fifty-five (55) years old and at least thirty (30) days old.

Definition of child: Any unmarried person between the ages of 30 days and 18 years old, who resides with you or is a full-time student in residence at an accredited institution, and who depends upon you for support.

Individual:

Couple:
You form a couple if your traveling companion is the person who is legally married to you or has been living in a conjugal relationship with you for a continuous period of at least twelve(12) months, and who resides in the same household as you.
