Like every year, summer is the best time to visit Montreal or go abroad. All summer long, the streets of Montreal bring people together to attend numerous festivals and events. This year, we have collected the 13 best music festivals for summer 2024 that will thrill you and perhaps discover new destinations!


Montreal International Jazz Festival (June 27 to July 6, 2024) Montreal, Quebec

Winnipeg Folk Festival (July 11 to 14, 2024), Winnipeg, Manitoba

Celebrating its 36th edition, the festival will take place throughout the month of July in Toronto. It is one of the largest free Canadian festivals, with more than 1,000,000 visitors each year. Pitchfork Music Festival (July 19 to 21, 2024) Chicago, IL
Do you want to go to the United States for a long weekend? Just a 2.5-hour plane ride from Montreal, the festival returns this year to Union Park in Chicago, bringing with it three days of festivities for all tastes. You will find a diverse lineup bringing together well-known artists like Carly Rae Jepsen, Black Pumas, Jai Paul, 100 Gecs, Alanis Morissette, Jessie Ware and others. One of the most anticipated festivals of the summer, the Newport Folk Festival is a festival operating since the 1950s. Want to visit California? San Francisco’s Outside Lands Festival traces its roots to the city’s old neighborhood, which became the founding ground of Golden Gate Park founded in 1870.
